Thread: Can I play PAL games on my JPN Saturn?

  1. Can I play PAL games on my JPN Saturn?

I sometimes see really cheap PAL versions of games I've wanted to get...I use a Japanese Saturn and the St-Key to play U.S. games on it -- will this work to allow me to play PAL games on it as well? If not, is there any way too?

  2. I'm not sure, some of them say you can but not all games play with them... I tried one with Panzer Dragoon Saga PAL version and a converter that said it played PAL region games and it didn't work

The only way I know that seems to work the best is to get you're system modded with a territory switch, one that has 3 settings for USA, JPN and PAL.

Yes, the PAL Carp know all

  5. I play my copy of Mega Man X3 with a ST-key. It has black bars on the side but is fully playable.

  6. I spoke to the Pal Carp, he told me that your TV will play it fine since the Saturn outputs whatever signal it was meant to. But he also said that some convertors will not support PAL games.

He then went on to say that if you were desperate you could make an ISO of the game; then by using this to patch it to the correct region, you could play it using the swap trick. But the Pal Carp warned me and said he wore out his cd drive motor when he used the swap trick to play SeaBass Fishing.... and then he went off on a tangent about how he loves watching those "saltwater cunts" struggle at the end of a "motherfucking' big hook".
Quick zephyrs blow, vexing daft Jim.

  7. ...
