They don't know why i am depressed because either it is a combination of everything that happened in my life, my self defeating compulsive obsessive behaviour(pattern oriented) or my negative outlook on life(can you blame me?).

And trust me when I say that doctors aren't that great when it comes to mental issues. Ask anyone with a mental illness.

My wife suffers from depression. It runs in her family. When she was in High School, some doctor who was the head of the mental health board, was suggesting she get electroshock therapy. She told them to fuck off!

She eventually found a female doctor, that was not only her therapist, but a friend as well. My wife still suffers from depression, but she did manage to find help and has learned to deal with it on better terms.

Then, use your left hand and curl with your right.

Do that a 3 times each side. Teeth will be clean and you'll get a good workout.
hell, i might start doing that.

anyhow damien, my main problem with getting a home gym for you, is that having weights is not using said weights. When you go to a gym, you feel compelled to do a routine because you are in a social group that is exercising. Home weights are useful if you have already established that you can motivate yourself, but if you cant, which is the vibe i am getting, it will become an expensive clothes rack. the gyms have the team sports that can expand your social skills, so my reccomendation still stands, go out to work out, you may not like it at first, but force yourself, once it becomes a part of your routine, you will love it (oh, and the guys in re4 arent zombies, didnt you read the Game informer bit on it? )

edit: one more thing, do NOT walk with weights, it is not good for you, read thisweighty matter

  4. Having a mental outlook isn't being depressed. It's called being peccimisic (sp obviously). Don't diagnose yourself as depressed if you show none of the symptoms or they come from nowhere but life's getting you down.

I have friends with depression and being down in life has nothing to do with it. Some of the happiest people in the world have a shitty life standard.

  5. Dude, only you have the power to stop being depressed.
DO something. If you do nothing. Nothing will happen.

Do you want your dad to die?
    No you dont.

So stop feeling sorry for yourself and start making changes! Smile when you see him, do something nice for him. At least spend time with HIM. So that way he knows at least you like him and he isn't the problem.

    Also, how old are you?

If you are under 20, you've barely lived your life. You've been living under your parents care for all those years and still have tons to do. When you are young, simple changes can change everything. It's not so easy once you are older.

I find it hard to believe that someone under 20 can have such a huge outlook on their life that they know that they will be a failure when they are 40. Nobody knows that. It's up to you to do something about it then, right?

    So do it.
In the words of Mr.Starsky....... Do it. Do it.
