Pikmin 2 Preview Video
Ok so I'm a little late, the video was posted August 12th, but I just got around to watching it. It's a very cool look into the game, perhaps just for me as I never really saw anything about it up to this point. Anyway, I thought I'd bump the thread with the preview video as the game is coming out soon.

About 30 hours of single player gameplay makes me all the more excited. The first one was fantastic, but way too short. August 30th can't come soon enough.
IGN gave Pikmin 2 a 9.3 WOW wasnt expecting it to be quite that high ;-D
Excellent! They really loved almost every aspect of thegame too, the length, the presentation, the graphics, the gameplay, the new dungeons, the multiplayer modes(co op AND versus) and even the SSBM like Piklopedia (think trophies in SSBM).
Very nice indeed. I will be really looking into getting this :-D
Never played the first one, but I can't wait for this to come out.

I wonder what the hell the purple and white Pikmin do.
IIRC, purple are really strong but slow and white are poisonous to monsters.

one more thing, the U.S version of Pikmin supports Progressive Scan
edit: from the videos i noticed that the game's speed has been bumped up a little....much needed!
I never understood why some people complained about the 30 day time limit in the original Pikmin, or that it was too short. I played that game for hours and hours over and over, the whole point was to see how many days you could beat it in and how many Pikmin you could finish with. I adore the original and the sequel is up there with Metroid Prime 2: Echoes as my most anticipated games of the year
I limited myself to 1 spaceship part for each day, and I paid for it in the end, when I had to beat the final trial in one day, kill the boss and everything. What a pain the ass that was, that Emperor Bulblax was pretty tough!
I hope they fix the way you recall Yellow Pikmin holding bombs because I would constantly get them all to drop their bombs when I'm trying to call them back.
I don't know if I'll get this right away, it seems to be worth around $30 for me...
