Righteous righteous!
As more and more info on the show's upcoming DVD release has been shown, I've looked through some episode guides and pics and can't believe how vivid my memories of the show are. The episodes involving Clayface are some of my faves, although I'm also partial to the Riddler and the Clock King.

Not a bad price for 30 eps, and the extras should be a hoot.

To this day I still can't believe the overall quality and style of this series. It's like someone forgot that American-made cartoons weren't just made to appeal solely to 5 year olds and actually created something truly great.
And the whole Joker/Harley Quinn relationship was hilarious, any episode with Harley was great.

Gymkata: I mean look at da lil playah woblin his way into our hearts in the sig awwwwwww
Easily one of the best cartoons ever IMO.I want to say that this series was what urged me to finally get back into the comic books as after watching the episodes I just had to see more of the Joker,Croc,Penguin, Bats, and Robin.
The animation levels did kind of vary though. That Clayface origin episode is a good example. Part 1 's animation was stiff and not very fluid, but Part 2 seemed to have a different set of animators altogether.I remember seeing the first episode with Killer Croc in it and another episode called P.O.V. where different cops give their story of how Batman saved their asses in the line of fire. Those 2 ep's had the same animation style as the 2nd Clayface one, and they looked pretty badass as a result.
Yeah, I'd like to pick up that DVD series, but I can do w/o the Clock King![]()
Come on Jeremy you seriously like the Clock King? Some 50+ year old lawyer is able to outfight Batman and dodge his batarangs because he's watched news footage of Batman and knows his timing?rightttt.....
I just like that the guy goes bonkers by being late, plus, the first episode he was in features a Lupin send-up, which I didn't know when I first saw the series. The animation for the show was rather dazzling more often than not, and the transfer to DVD should highlight it. Animation does tend to suffer in any show when there are rather elaborate parts to it. Given how bad it could have turned out (I'm thinking like the "animation" in the opening of the '60s Batman show), it's pretty amazing at how great it is. The use of lighting is really amazing, too.

More news got out today about the four-disc DVD set. There will be 28 episodes on it, not 30, and it's uknown if they're going by airdate or production order.

The hotness.
I'm a fan of the Animates series. I was a religious watcher, I'll pick this up when I see it on the cheap.
http://www.dvdtoons.com/news/560 - a little more news on the game. Also, some animated Batman stuff can be found cheap, with Batman Beyond stuff frequently going for $10. Personally, I'd rather go with having a huge variety of eps for $25-$30 than a smattering for $10, but the random eps ones are definitely better than nothing.

When I think televised Batman, I think of this show. It was perfect in every way imaginable. I grew up watching it, and even now as an adult I still enjoy it...
Someone remind me though, what the hell was the name of the ninja who Batman left in a lava flow?
