I hear you. If you haven't already, I highly recommend playing Alundra. It is the closest thing we will ever have to a sequel.

On a side note, I scanned in the Landstalker walkthrough if anyone is interested. I guess I would have to email it to you though.

Dark Savior was a cool game but if you are holding it up to Landstalker it ultimately is dissappointing.

As for Ladystalker, I own it and played it a little. I was put off by the battles because once a battle starts you're locked into that little area until it is over. Not knowing what the hell they are saying doesn't help much either. I'll have to get back to that.

I played all the way through Ladystalker. It was pretty good. I've never actually played Landstalker though, so I can't make a comparison. I hated the color palette and sound effects in Ladystalker too.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I was always surprised that the later released Ladystalker on SNES looked worse than the earlier Genesis game. I'm still not sure why that is.

Maybe there won't be a sequel, but have you tried Light Crusader by Treasure? It was their last MD/Genesis game IIRC. It's very much like Landstalker and quite difficult, I suggest looking for that one... I got the US version a few years back for $5, so it shouldn't cost you too much. And it's typically high quality from Treasure =)

I did finally get Light Crusader and wanted to love it really badly but it just didn't hold my interest. I should have gotten it when it first came out, that way it would have been fresh.
