Anyone else notice the first Night Owl saving a man,his wife,his son, and his butler from a armed robber as they came out of a theater?

And Adrien's project the scientists were working on was called Squid. Love this movie.
Also in a recent interview in GEEK Zack said he treated the movie as a trailer for the book.

I just saw this last night. I really enjoyed it and to me the 3 hours didn't feel like 3 hours. I thought it was really well paced. I just wish I didn't have a fat ass chick sitting next to me who had to talk through half the god damn movie. Her fucking husband even tells her to shut up and she goes on a 5 minute tirade of you don't tell me what to do, I'll do what ever the hell I god damn pleace, I'll talk when ever the fuck I want.

I thought the casting overall was spot on, cept maybe for Ozy, I don't know it just didn't seem to fit.

Overall I really liked it, but these were my main issues with it.


1. Leaving out the NYC folks, I actually really dug that aspect of the comic, and having them pretty much absent, to me was a negative impact on the story.
2. There were certain things that while kind of hinted at and then revealed later in the comic, were made a bit too obvious in the movie. Like Ozy shoving the poison pill in the guys mouth.
3. I didn't like the change to the ending, not the fact that it wasn't some giant weird beast, more that they blamed it on Dr. Manhattan. I think I would have been fine with the change as long as they still made it seem like it was from an Alien source.
4. Nite Owl's and Silk Spectre's relationship. In the book its pretty obvious she's done with Dr Manhattan, and she's totally taken up with Nite Owl, the movie really made it seem like she was still hung up about Dr till he finally went away for good.


Just those 4 changes that I could have done with out. Overall it came out a lot better than I expected. After reading the comic I really didn't think they'd be able to do it justice.

Rorschach was fucking awesome by the way, really really dug how they handled his mask.

That was cool. Nothing too fancy, just a short Double Dragon style beat-em-up. The "VEIDT" logo at the start up screen kinda reminded me of the Videlectrix logo from the Homestar Runner games.

They should've done a full version of this for Virtual Console.
