Thread: tokyo game show 2002

  1. Hi there Sevenforce. Cheers for the info, I found a few secondhand shops around Akihabara last time like Trader 1 & 2 (they do a damn fine deal on PC Engine games I'd say) but I didn't trace a single PCB shop. Hoping for better luck this time, hankering for Storm of Progear you see The meeting up thing sounds pretty cool to me, it'd be blessed thing to be able to speak to a fellow english speaker over there, lol.

If you found Trader 1 & 2, then you had to have passed by at least one of the PCB shops. If you know where the larager Gamers shop is at, then there is G-front. And Mak! is a block or so down from the Messe Sanoh building (also on the main street).

Do keep in touch. I'll gladly show you around a little more and embark on the ultimate gaming quest.

Yeah straight up, I went in Gamers and Messe Sanoh last time but it looks like I completely missed these other places (talk about dung pie right in the eyes, lol). Messe Sanoh kinda freaked me out last time as there were two guys literally fighting over who got to go on Dreamcast Mark of the Wolves that was on play outside. It was kinda funny to see a real Streetfighter 2 going on. Embarking on the ultimate gaming quest sounds right up my street, I didn't get to do as much as I wanted to last time as I was more worried about finding my way around (dang it's a confusing place, I'd appreciate the help). How confusing do you find it out there or have you got used to it now?

  4. This thread sounds like it has the potential to turn into a TNL groupe field trip. I'd be all over that if enough of us are serious about a trip to the TGS.

Honestly, if I had any clue what I was doing and had the cash to spare (which I might by then) I'd join you all. Certainly be fun!

Yeah man, it would beat those school trips we had to suffer when we were kids eh, lol. Although some of the places I used to go to were pretty smart, this Bird of Prey centre I went to once was just THE place for 10ft Golden Eagles with like ninja stars growing out of their feet (I had a vivid imagination when I was a kid I guess). Anyways all you fellas should come along as well, Tokyo is definately a great place to go to forget about your woes (until you catch a glance at your bank balance that is ). It's definately worth the money.

It's times like these that being single does have it's advantages.
