I love the artwork for the characters in those scans... looks pretty damn sweet.
I'm mostly a Shining n00b, but I've played a few of the games (SFIII, Holy Ark, Soul), and have heard people rave about this series for years, so I'm excited for the PS2 one at least.

You'd know better than I, but I was dead certian that a lot of TA went to and can still be found at Polyphony Digital.Originally Posted by Frogacuda

I totally disagree. The Shining series has never been about long, drawn-out, complicated gameplay mechanics and uber-deep character development. They're made to be intuitive and easy to get into, which is why the same menu system carries over to each game.Originally Posted by jarrod
As for the franchise bringing it down a notch. How? Shining Wisdom is only one of sixteen titles released with the Shining name, which also includes strategy/RPGs as well as traditional turn-based RPGs. Wisdom is one of the only action/RPGs in the series and isn't a good representation of the franchise.
I personally think that the Shining name does good for these games. The fact that they're all in the same universe with events and characters that overlap is great.
Shining Soul was crappy too though.

They updated the official website with new characters and screenshots.
Of the new characters I like Paron, but that is a given for me
