Holy christ, the new trailer just about sold me alone. I'll probably end up going to the theater to watch it regardless, but from this I'm expecting start-to-end predator action.
looks a lot better than what ive gotten to see before this. im actually looking foreward to this now.

I am so there. It looks like some serious carnage is going to go down on screen. I like Anderson and the last interview I read gave the impression that he's all about this project and wants it to kick ass as much as possible.
Can't say I liked the music, but the rest of the trailer was gold. I can't wait to see this. The Predator's new look is top notch. That was so hardcore when a facehugger leaps at a predator and he nabs it with one hand.

It was Chestburtster leaping at Predator, but I agree that it was cool.
We will also get to see PredAlien in AVP.
I hope you guys are kidding. While, the footage was good, the music, if indeed put together or approved by Anderson, is a good indicator of the crap that this movie is gonna be. I almost had high hopes when he noted how in Alien and Aliens they didn't show the creatures until halfway through the films....then we get a ton of them in the trailer. Hopefully this is some bad joke, otherwise the movie will suck as predicted and Paul WS Anderson will be hated by fanboys for eternity (even more so). Harry's article at AICN pretty much sums up my feelings on the new trailer. I guess I'll still see it to try and convince Fox to make Alien 5, but DAMN.
Well, I just downloaded the new trailer, and it looked cool. Really cool. However, that's a trailer's job- to make a movie look really cool and make you want to see it. So I'll wait and see, but I have a much better feeling about AvP now.
Please let it be rated R. Please let it be rated R. Please let it be rated R.
And I know I was bitching earlier that the movie should have taken place in the future, but after watching the trailer, I think it looked fine being set in the present, although it completely kills the continuity of the Alien series. I mean, remember in Aliens, when Ripley's in the board meeting and she's all like, "If just ONE of those things gets down here, then all this bullshit you think is so important, you can just kiss that goodbye!!" Sorry, Ripley, apprently there's been shitloads Aliens on Earth for hundreds of years and we're okay, you psycho bitch. No wonder the company didn't listen to her.

While I agree that the soundtrack sounds terrible, poorly fitted, out of place music is almost a trait of Pauls direction. It was to be expected.Originally Posted by Yamcha
This is true, just listen to the Marilyn Manson soundtrack of Resident Evil.Originally Posted by arjue

It could be place holder music just for the trailer. Besides, the trailer was really like a highlight reel, the music wasn't written for a trailer cut.
