  1. Meh, the Trailer was ok. I'm going to go see it, but I'm sure as hell not getting my hopes up. I will not allow another movie to be a repeat of LXG or Underworld.

    The thing is that they can easily say that Lance Henrikson's character or any of the survivors, disavowed any knowledge of these creatures so that it wouldn't go into the wrong hands. Or that since it's in earlier times it wasn't catalogued into the future machines or Nostromo's system.

    I'm hoping they go through that hole logically.

  8. Come on. New full trailer palying before Riddick was great. Gone, blaring rock music, and they did show alot of action footage. Predators assaulting humans, and then cloaking away in mid jump was great. Aliens look excellent, and I am sure that this will be R. There are no way it can be PG13.

    You weren't just expressing your "disappointment", you were complaining about the movie not making any sense and not having any Alien or Predator "stuff" which you were obviously proven wrong by the latest trailer.

    I have no problem with people who are expressing their reservations or outright dislike towards this movie, but I won't standby and let someone derail yet ANOTHER thread because of their whining.

    I believe that according to early reports of the story, the Aliens have been buried underneath an Aztec tomb near the Arctic Circle for over a thousand years. I've also heard that the Predators bring the Alien Queen or eggs with them before they start hunting, meaning that the Aliens "have not been on Earth for hundreds of years", but are brought their so the facehuggers can be put in the Sacrificial Chamber with unfortunate victims to later be turned into adult Aliens.

    If there is any truth to this, I think that Ripley's statement is still true because assuming the happy Hollywood ending, the Aliens will all be killed in Alien vs. Predator.

    Of course, you're going to be right. And let me add to that by saying I'm pretty sure the movie will end just like almost all of the Alien and Predator movies...with a biiiig explosion, in this case taking out the temple and destroying all the Aliens, eggs, whatever.

    Plus, we've also been shown in the Alien movies that The Company is good at covering things up...perhaps AvP will be tied into the first Alien movie. Let's say that The Company gets a hold of an Alien...they do experiments or whatever, but it's not enough raw material, they need more. Fast forward however many years to the first Alien movie when The Company intercepts the beacon from the derelict spacecraft on LV-427, realize what exactly it is after consulting their records, and cook up a bullshit story to feed to the crew of Ripley's ship so they can land and get more specimens for them. After all, it's been a while since I've seen Alien, but didn't it turn out that it wasn't a distress beacon, it was actually a warning, and The Company knew exactly what they were sending Ripley's crew into and that the real purpose of sending them there was to obtain an Alien? How would The Company know what was on that ship unless they had encountered it before? Makes sense, I guess.
