Shakycam wasn't too bad this time, it wasn't on level with LOTR, but I agree it still has to go.

I really got a kick out of seeing that pred's use of shrunken in this one because they got more action out of that one sequence then any other weapon he's using. 2 aliens and a skewered slut on the wall pretty much beats anything.

Saw this last night.

Pros:
Batman Predator running an investigation the first half of the movie.
Rated R.
That chick's ass.

Cons:
Poor use of the military.
No cool characters or good lines.
Rated R but no nudity. I don't get Hollywood.

Bottom Line:
Not as good as the first (which was much better paced) but definitely worth the ticket.

Side note. There were probably 30 ppl in the theater and a good 10-12 were grade school kids. WTF is wrong w/parents today?

They talked through the first 10 minutes of the movie. A big bruiser behind us yelled shut up at them and the mom went off. "I'm right here, I can parent my own kids, GTFO, etc." You can parent? Really? By taking a bunch of 10 year olds to a super violent movie and allowing them to talk through the first 10 minutes? She was definitely head of her class.

so I flew to thailand and rented the dvd

went in with low expectations, came out somewhat impressed... still no fucking space marines, but what they did was good enough (the third better goddamn have space marines, AND they better end up building plasma rifles from the predators shoulder cannon for AvP3: future edition, otherwise that was a pretty big waste of a ending spin)

Just watched this and it was a decent movie. It gave me pretty much what I expected (better than the first). It was fun watching how fast the Aliens can overtake a human town and shows a bit how they work. The effects were great for the most part, the Predator ruled. Sure the humans were cliche characters and were there simply for that human sympathy angle, but I didn't think they were that bad. The blonde girl was smokin' hot and good lord did she eat it.

Biggest knock I can really give is that they needed to switch on some fucking lights! Holy shit was it dark.
