Thread: Official Spiderman 2 thread

  1. I really wouldn't mind if it was just GG2 in Spidey 2, I mean if you want a battle between Spidey and his true arch nemesis, that's what you're gonna get. It should make for an emotionally charged ending that will be sweet.

... but yeah, change up the costume a bit.

  2. But we ALREADY had this in part 1 !!!!! With retarded costume and all.

Let see, Spidey will spend more time discovering who is new Goblin is. And it will be all dramatic to see that it is Harry. Oohh the drama.

    Please.....

  3. I have a lot of faith in Raimi and his screen writin' help. They've done 2 great Spidey films. They'll make a smarter script than just GG2.

Thing is, it would be bad to ignore the ending of SM2 w/Harry finding the Goblin lair. It would be insulting to act like that didn't happen. It might be best to get all of the GG2 stuff out of the way in the first half hour, then concentrate on the real main subject of the film.

You know, another route would be that Harry realizes that Spidey/Peter was innocent and his father was insane. Finding the Goblin lair explains finding Spider-Man in the room with his dead father. But that would be a dull film!

  4. I guarantee the movie will be EXACTLY as Despair described, with two mediocre villains (kraven and vulture) to pick up the slack.

  5. Everyone and their mom knows that Peter Parker is Spidey, thanks to the second movie. The third will lack Peter's duality, and you don't have to feel bad for him anymore since all previous misunderstandings between him and other characters are gone.

They blew the "secret identity" load far too soon, should've kept it for the end of the trilogy.

Unless Rami has Spidey stalk and murder everyone that was on the train. That would be cool.

    No wait, it wouldn't. Nevermind.

Well, I for one am glad that Peter let loose with the secret identity money shot in SM2. If we'd have got another ending like the first movie.....well..I wouldnt have been happy, and it would have felt like the writers were just baiting us into seeing the third for the purpose of "will he FINALLY!! tell her??".

Now that, that is out of the way the next one can move into new territory for a superhero movie. Like how does the life of a crimefighting webslinger affect his girlfriend, how does he balance a relationship out of the craziness in his life, does MJ maybe fear Parker in a way (because he is a mutant freak when it comes down to it)?.I look forward to seeing how the writers will handle these issues........and seeing Kraven kicking Spidey's ass to a fierce jungle beat.

Make him scary, not laughable and ridiculous. PLEASE.

I honest to God thought that was the route Raimi was going to take with this. Would've been the perfect set-up, just like the symbiote story in that old FOX cartoon. That , plus the guy has to hate Peter's guts for stealing his fiance'.

They showed the early designs of the Green Goblin costume in the special features section of the Spiderman 1 DVD and some of the designs were jaw dropping.

...and they ended up with that Power Ranger villian costume

    what the hoof?

Oh really? I didnt know that. Have to go check it out later. I take it the designs were jaw dropping, as in kick ass? If so that makes the travesty that was the power rangers suit even more unforgivable...

  10. Yep, pretty kick ass. A lot scarier looking too, from what I remember.
