I wonder if the Xbox version will be in 720p, like someone above said. Wasn't the resolution for XX something weird like 525?

Isn't 720p a true HDTV resolution for displaying 16:9? It's 1280x720..

I believe so...but a lot of earlier HDTVs don't support it. I know SC2 does, right? But it displays oddly, with like a black box around it or something, doesn't it?

The Japanese versions are 525p, an odd format for American TVs, but it works on my friend's U.S. Sony HDTV....I know my TV won't run the U.S. one all the time, sometimes it boots in progressive, sometimes it doesn't feel like it, and it says inside the manual that it is 525p, but I'm assuming this is just a typo carried over from the Japanese manual....

either way, this game would work in widescreen mode, I've run it in that and it looks good. I know Masaka runs his on a widescreen Sony and says it looks great. Give us 1080i and set the standard.

You're right about SC2.

NM what I said before, apparently the PC version actually runs in 640x480 or 1240x1024.

If the JP version is 525p, then maybe that is why it was my U.S. Sony HDTV was cutting off the top and bottom?

Does anyone know of a good PSX->USB adapater?
