After a couple months, I'm still stuck on the fact that one of the best fighters out there is being re-released for a mere 20 bucks. I don't have to worry about this selling fast, it sold pretty well up here. Can't wait, can't wait.![]()
The review in the new issue of GMR sites some lag problems during long distance games.![]()
I thought you were gay.... i guess not.

#Reload has some significant changes compared to the original. Although, few would pay $50 for just these upgrades.
I dunno if I'll buy a stick for it since even with the DC/PS2 pad it played fine despite the d-pads.
Damn, gotta get Live soon.
To be honest, I view reload as an entirely new game over XX...I personally can't stand XX anymore because reload is such a dramatic improvement...Originally Posted by Valgar
I recommend even people who had issues with XX to give reload a try, it is much more balanced and well, just a very good fighter.
As for the pad, the game is very playable on standard broken in PS2 pad...some really good players use pad, no problems. And at tourneys, etc...pads are allowed.

define long distance or just say 150, 100, 90, 75, 30 ms or less is required for a flawless match.Originally Posted by Tragic
I can get 20-30 ms on halo servers (from houston) until i hit east and westcoast states. And we all know halo netcode is the suck.
Only gripe is there's absolutely no definite word on how droppers will be handled.
Also the release date was quietly bumped from Sept 1 to 7th.

And I'm not pleased. Though, EB had the 7th for a while, but I really wanted to trust Gamestop with the 1st. However, that gives me a week less of playing at home, and I don't know if my school's network is going to give me the bandwidth I need for decent netplay... not happy about this.Originally Posted by MarsKitten
It has been the 7th for awhile now, actually when I pre-ordered from EB they told me they would get it the 8th.
Since you need to receive inputs every frame and that 1/60s ~ 16ms, I don't think you will be able to have a lag-free match under 30ms ping (since ping time measures the round-trip time between you and the distant computer).Originally Posted by MarsKitten
I can't believe I'm only spending $35 in the next couple of weeks for two awesome games (this and GunGrave).
What a jubilant 5000th post that was.
