I saw you on yesterday, but the connection came up as failed. I haven't encountered too many really good players yet, but a lot of people around my skill level, which is really nice.Originally Posted by ssbomberman
What surprised me most about this $20 game was the color manual. I'm pretty decent. I'll be seeing yous on LIVE.

At least there're no EX grooves or EO mode to suck it up here.

I finally got a ton of great matches yesterday... there is definitely hope... I played against 3 or 4 people, and would rematch a lot (except one guy who was cheap and would aim to trap me in the corner constantly). I'm new, so I admit I suck, but would have fun as long as people weren't too cheap. I picked Sol a lot, but that was because he was the easiest one to pick when there was a lot of lagI didn't realize that he was a bad character since I know nothing of the series. Once I had a good connection though, I started playing around. Definitely glad I got this... and it's almost making me want CvsS2 just to have more 2D fighting on Live.

Sol Badbuy >>>>>>> Sagat in terms of laziness. At least Sagat takes some amount of skill to use.
Play Guitar Hero //
You won't see any good sol players, cause dust loop is impossible with the delay. FRC isn't hard, you just do it normally, but it will appear on screen about 3 seconds later.
I have no clue what any of you are taking about. I bought the game last night, and then proceeded to play my first game of Guilty Gear...ever. Seems fun to me (especially for $20), and a lot like many other 2D fighting games. Yes, I'm sure there are all sorts of intricacies that one could devote months and months to, but some of you are going on like you can't even play the game without an advanced degree from the Guilty Gear Institute.

"Fiends! Animals! Bastards!"
Actually, unless they fixed him for #R, I'd say that Justice is the ultimate in lazy play. Even played sloppy (like mashing HS), he seems a cut above everyone else, and if you even bother to use some of his special moves, then it's GG.
Before we returned this, I found it hilarious that my Axel was undefeated since no one could deal with his range and the lag. I could pretty much just use his b,f+S all round. It was also great punishing Sol's who abuse his DP move, because to hit them on the way down, I actually had to input my attack a second before or they'd have already landed and be blocking (or spamming C.P).
When we forced Gamestop to take this back, one of the clerks said (in poindexter-voice), "In regards to Guilty Gear XX #Reload, there will be a patch to download in a week to fix the lag." Oh, you must mean that "optimized netcode" patch? Or maybe, the increase your bandwidth, and that of all those you play against...patch. Or the "turn your copy into the magic version all the reviewers we clearly paid off had" patch.
