I heard microsoft was taking steps to prevent that in general. Although, if you just play with your friends, who cares? Not like over 1% of the population will be worth playing against.

Eventually, if you care about ranking (which alot of people do), you've got to play against other people.

And "just playing against friends" kind of defeats the purpose of Xbox Live... I don't think I've EVER gotten a PC game and just "stuck to my friends".

I bet my admin powers (if I'm right, I keep them - if I'm wrong, I'll have them taken away) that this game is going to turn into a pretty looking lag enduced plug-pulling CvS2-esque knob party on XBL, and everybody will have the exact same complaints and problems they did with the CvS2 on Live.

Lets hope it gets an Xbox/Live hookup instead of a lame ps2 standalone.
PS2 needs some fucking online play fighting games, wtf is wrong with these people.

This isn't hard, nor rocket science, fighting games need human foes, cpu is not much fun. They need to hurry the hell up and get a modern guilty gear online or someone needs to dump the rom and emulate it already. I don't mind paying for a game but if it lacks such a critical feature as online play whats the point?
Not that I'm ungreatful for Reload, but isuka would be nice is all.

You can play against your TNL friends. Luckly, i don't care about ranking, either =). Although, since it will be lagalicious, i will have to scrub down my game =(.
