I think Berg made a gullible assumption like most of Americans seem to make, "deep down all people are like us, and on some spiritual level connect with us". No wonder the world hates US. Having lived in Europe and the US as well as the middle east, I can tell you that people have different ideals and customs in all the regions. The worst thing you can do is instead of understanding the customs, to try to convert and conquer their minds with your own.

I have much more to say on this subject, but I feel very strongly that the US Government is to blame, and anything we say here will fall on deaf ears.
