Thread: mega man battle network 4

  1. mmbn1: you had to run around and put out fire
mmbn2: you had to run around and put out ice
mmbn3: you had to run around and put out wood
    mmbn4: ...............................................electric?

some of the scenarios in these games ARE super anoying and repetative but it's really all about the game play. i've been playing mmbn2 recently an' i think i like it a lil more than mmbn3....so far. haven't beaten it yet.

  2. It should be noted that starting with this game the series is finally doing what it should have been doing from the start: Megaman actually acquires style changes based on the bosses he defeats, instead of just gaining cards to use the bosses as a summon. And the style changes look a lot cooler than any other MM game; Megaman actually takes on a suit that blends the boss design with his own, rather than just a simple pallete swap. They look really cool.

I don't like the two versions shizzle Cap is doing with these lately, but other than that the series is still solid. The fantastic redesigns and cameos of old robot masters and other throwback references should almost be worth the price of admission alone to classic MM fans, but then the games themselves are quite good, if repetitive. But then, if you're an MM fan in the first place, don't act like that's some kind of new schtick for the series.

  3. I really didn't get into MMBN, after playing it for awhile, the random battles got annoying (especially when it's fighting worthless hard hat mets). I'm digging the MM Zero series more, but I'm gonna go back and beat MMBN someday.

The first song on the site is reminiscent of the NES Mega Man songs, I like it! They've got Search Man in MMBN4! =D Some other robot masters: Aqua Man, Spark Man, Top Man, Laser Man, Video Man (?), and Kendo Man. Laser Man, Kendo Man, Search Man, and Spark Man look really cool. What's up with Top Man looking like that old dude from Ninja Scroll?

mmbn3 had the different styles exclusive to each game but mmbn4 is gonna have totally different scenarios an' shit like that. i think that the style changes in 2 an' 3 added a great deal of...uh....strategy to the gameplay.

  5. 4.5?

can anyone tell me what this is about?

    rockman exe 4.5

i can't really tell much from the screen shots. it looks like you can actually play with other characters but....i might be wrong.

So basacially, before where it was more of a novelty, now you HAVE to buy both games to really get the full experience.

Thanks alot Capcom, I'll just wait for these games to inevitably hit the bargain bin just like part 2 and 3 did.

And is it just me, or are these games fucking impossible to 100%?? I've given up on getting all the chips for part 1, it sucks because I only had about 29 or so left to get.

  7. some chips would only appear when you did link battle, like in mmbn3. i don't know about 1 and 2.

It's just you have to run around these internet areas for about 1-20 minutes, depending on your luck, and wait for the boss navi to appear. Then you gotta be like, and hope you ace them good, to get their SP chips.

If you didn't, whoops, too bad. Do it again. Not to mention all the other fights you have to fight in the meantime, because there was no actual escape button until part three.

I just want to get all the chips just to fight Bass

yeah, doing all that is a pain. i beat mmbn3 and started to run around the secret net but eventually just said "fukkit" 'cause i knew it would take an ubsurd amout of time before i could get all the chips and beat all the extra bosses. i had already logged like....80 some-odd hours and i was pretty satisfied with my current progress. did mmbn1 have lock enemy items? i know they were in 2 and 3....it helped a lot when trying to track down boss navis 'cause you could just use the item and run into 'em in the next fight.

They added those into 2 after people complained about having to randomly hunt down the bosses time and time again, this way it just made it easy.

Kind of like how they added the escape feature into 3.

MMBN 1 is bare bones simple compared to 2 and 3. I'm at 145/170 chips now, so close yet so so far away.
