Thread: Nintendo DS

  1. Interesting.... I was going to pickup one of those NES looking SP this June but with the DS, why bother? Of course, I will probably wait till the 3rd revision of DS before I buy.... by then, Nintendo will have something better....

  2. Now that it's been shown, it seems like most of TNL has been forced to eat their foot.
I was expecting more actually, like an attractive design.

  3. Forgive me if this has been posted. I don't have time to skim the whole thread:
    From http://www.gamesarefun.com/news.php?newsid=883

    "Nintendo DS:
    -Namco: New Mr. Driller game
    -Sega: Project Rub"

  4. New Mr. Driller on DS is wicked cool.

Imagine Mr. Driller 2 on GBA ported to DS, where in Multiplayer the top screen is yours and you are drilling, trying to get to the bottom before your opponent, while your OPPONENT is on the bottom screen of your DS, and you can watch there every move. That is fucking frantic.

it's not final. IGN says this is just a prototype design

  6. The DS has really impressed me so far. Now I want some new Nintendo franchises to be born with it. New Mario, Zelda, etc. is all nice and good, but I crave something new as well.

  7. I think Nintendo payed Sega for the really shitty announcement to put their conference in retrospect. WOOT nintendo!!!!

  8. All these great DS games coming...makes me think in a year Sony will dominate the market and all these games will have enhanced PSP ports

  9. You know, I bet a realistic Sims game can be made for the DS if they wanted to. That and the fact that Maxis has really pushed along some titles for the SP recently, and I think this could be pretty dope. The PC port on the DS would be awesome, with the ability to touch the screen to make your character go to wherever you want in the house. Maybe this would make "The Sims Online" popular?

  10. I think Black & White would actually be a perfect fit for this system. The touch screen would be much more intuitive than the original mouse-dragging controls, and it would be good for a portable considering how much more enjoyable other somewhat relatable pet-raising games are on the go, when you can just whip the system out and raise your god whenever it's convenient.

Actually, now that I think about it, Seaman would also be a perfect fit, considering the DS supports voice recognition!
