I dont see how anyone could play multiplayer game on N64 nowadays.
I was no fan of the N64 by any means... It's the only nintendo console I never owned, and never wanted to own... but when it's a game that's fun like the AKI wrestling games (I don't care which one), Conker, or Mario Party, I have no problems picking 'em up at a friends place and playing them again, even to this day.

One of the many reasons I didn't see why so many people liked Goldeneye... I'd play it with friends if they wanted to play, but I didn't ever really like it. I was playing games on PC for years that were more advanced than that... and mouse keyboard ruled over N64 controller (but then again, most controllers did).

I made the mistake of getting Outrigger for DC recently... played it for 5 minutes and sold it because I just couldn't play without dual analog.

At least it has mouse/keyboard support. Best Japanese FPS ever(not that that says much).

Yes, but I don't feel like hunting down a mouse... and the point of those games to me is multiplayer, so I can't give that same control to 3 other people.

Considering it was and still is the best offline multiplayer system out there - I dont see how anyone cannot. Mario tennis/golf, fzero, and the aki wrestling games still rule 4 player gaming. Sure online is where all the good multiplayer stuff is nowadays, but i wish they could have captilized on 4 player gaming more this gen outside of halo.

Before someone mentions those games were also on gamecube - Mario golf gc wasnt as fun as the n64 version, and fzero gc was way too tough for more casual fans compared to the n64 version. I have yet to get Tennis tho. I dont even like wrestling but those n64 aki games were super fun. What happened this gen?
NowPlaying: Battlefield series . DarkSouls . MGS collection . Cap+SNK fighters . AceCombat series . ArmoredCore series

  5. This gen, wrestling games went down the shitter due to Aki not doing WWE stuff. They did the Def Jams and Ultimate Muscle games, and I think something else that is slipping my mind right now. None of them recreated the multiplayer fun of the N64 games.

  6. Hey guys, at Circuit City they are also giving away a fairly detailed plush (stuffed, teddy bear-like) Conker with purchase of the game. It was enough to push me over the edge, since my daughter went nuts over it. YMMV though because at one CC the promo was not on. The CC by Jeremy in Potomac Mills did have it though.

I still play DC Quake 3 pretty often...and before I managed to snatch a mouse off of Ebay that meant I'd be playing with the controller. It took some getting used to, but after a few minutes I'd be fine, and vice-versa when I'd switch back to something on the Xbox.

You're full of shit. Next time I see you we're playing GoldenEye. Oh yeah, I went there.
    Time for a change

Just please don't play the game with her...

    The plush

  10. Conker rules. I'd put it in my top 5 3D platform games. Anyone who missed out on the N64 version should pick this up.
