That's the one thing that really bugged me about this game. I really miss the voice acting.

Nope. No voice acting in MGA2. However, you can view cutscenes from MGS3 (and the MGS4 trailer) with the Solid Eye goggles. There will also be ten new cards for the US version (six MGS4 cards and four fanmade ones).

  3. Okay, this game rules. I must have played it for 7 hours straight tonight. I just unlocked the chronicle pack which is hilarious. The part with Hans Davis/doppelganger was totally trippy, and the clown thing has me with no idea what's really happening. I know the game's going to get even more messed up when I get to FAR.

I really like what they did with the gameplay, I can't wait to see how they refine it in 2 when they've had more time to put things together.

I'm sure you know this by now, but MGS1's plot is not worthy of being mentioned in the same sentence as Ac!d's. Shinta Nojiri > Hideo Kojima.

  4. I rented this but didn't like it. I was really confused by the whole card thing. Should I give it another go? You guys make it sound awesome.

  5. It IS awesome, that's why.

It really wasn't until I was about 5 hours in that I finally understood how everything worked. Equipment, cost, actions per turn, armor, there's alot to keep track of, but it's fairly simple once it all clicks.

The game's actually alot like Final Fantasy Tactics, but you can only do whatever actions you have cards for in your hand.

Been playing this kind of a lot lately since I got the PSP a couple of months ago.

On the last mission now, it took me a few tries to get into the game but once I understood the system I started really enjoying it.

I figure once I'm done I'll play through on Extreme for the Raiden card playthrough using the Big Boss card to get 2x the already inflated points from the missions and buy, save/load until I have every card.

Or like I said before, after you finish the first game, call it a wrap and move into the sequel because it's about a million times better.

I'm almost done with expert, it's easy once you have the good cards.
