Originally it was supposed to be June release, but Paramaunt pushed it back to September to avoid summer time competition.

Well, I would have seen it no matter when it came out.
Oh, and before I forget, screw Angelina Jolie and Gwenith Paltrow. They suck. Jude Law's alright, though.

you pretty much touched on everything right here, just substitute "hate" for "love", and "horrible" for "great"

This movie seems to barrow a lot from 50s style comics. The robots remind me a lot of the guard robots that was in that one episode of the animated batman with the theme park of the future made of ice. I think those robots actually barrow from a older robot design from something else, but I can't recall.
I would if I could. Jolies a hottie.

Robots reminded me of designs from Iron Giant film.
check out the arms man, they are just like the ones from batman.
