Thread: Awesome Video Game Deals at Fleamarkets/Garage sales

  1. Not a pawn shop or Flea market deal, but this was my best snag. In 2002 some guy came into my GS & offered to sell me some Saturn games(he had heard me talking about Saturn stuff & I mentioned I'd take any old stuff he had.)

He told me to make him an offer & I said I had $37.00 in my wallet, and apparently that was good enough. Here is what I got for $37 dollars. All complete, BTW.

    Dark Savior
    Three Dirty Dwarves
    Gun Griffon
    GUARDIAN HEROES
    PANZER DRAGOON SAGA.

I was very pleased to say the least.

  2. Super Famicom

I got a mud covered genesis (With 2 muddy controllers) and it's adapter was half melted! all for the low price of $5. And then I think that genesis Went into my Project, a remote control genesis, I scraped my neighbors R/C Car... I got it painted...thats about it
    ZOMBIES!!!???

God damn... That was a well spent 37 dollars.

I've never really had any luck at garage sales and the like. The only ones I've ever been to are in my grandmother's town, and hardly anyone there plays games.

  4. Ninja

hmmmm... I got Rush N Attack (NES) for a buck once...Woo(Funny name ain't it? Say it really fast and you'll get the message)
    ZOMBIES!!!???

My mom sold my Odyssey 2... with box and manuals... for about that much. At that point I didn't really care. I never knew how much it'd bother me me years down the road. It sucks. I don't know how much it'd cost me to replace that stuff.

  6. I'm the king of pawn shop deals - Everything that costs an arm and a leg for SNES on Ebay I've found at pawn shops for $10 Cdn. at the most (FF II, III, CT, Dracula X, Secret of Mana, etc.) When I find them I usually haggle on the price too. Couple of copies of Disgaea, and quite a few PSX Rpgs for dirt cheap also. Flea markets in my area all seem to want Ebay prices for everything.

  7. I got secret of mana at a used record store for $7, same with FF II, They just make up prices for them, they don't even care if they could get a good $30 off a game... but at the same time they over charge, like they had a virtual boy for $50, see Im a collector, but Im not spending over $30 for an older system.
    ZOMBIES!!!???

  8. Wife wanted to go to some garage sales today. We hit up an estate sales, and though nothing was a blockbuster deal, I was VERY happy with my haul:

Genesis/Sega CD 2 w/2 controllers and 5 games (Rise of the Dragon, Willy Bemish, Dracula, Sewer Shark, Power Factory, Double Switch and Final Fight CD) -$10

    GBA and GB Games:
    Gold Sun Complete -$3
Breath of Fire II (GBA) Complete -$5
    Zelda Seasons Complete -$3
    Shadowgate Classic Complete -$1.50
    Dragon Warrior Monsters Complete -$1
Dragon Warrior I&II No Manual -$2
    Pokemon Red Complete-$1
    Bust-A-Move Milenium Complete-$1
Super Mario Land 3: Warioland No Box -$1

    NES games (all game only):
    Castlevania -$1
    Zelda -$1
    Zelda II -$1
    River City Ransom -$0.50
    Skate or Die -$0.50
    Skate or Die 2 -$0.50
    Ducktales -$0.50

Star Ocean 2 Guide Very Good Shape -$1
Valkyrie Profile Guide Very Good Shape -$1

I already had some of the stuff, but heck they were all sweet deals.

  9. At the NWCGEE a few weeks ago, this guy had boxed NES games in absolutely amazing condition for 3 bucks each. The LOZ gold box, SMB2, a few others..but man, these boxes were nice. Almost perfect.

  10. Roufuss has a lot of flea market video game finds for this thread. And I do mean A LOT.
