The reviews seem to be pretty average so far. 7.0, 7.5, 7.5 from EGM and I think Game Informer gave it a 7 or 7.5.

Yea, it's got me real worried.... DK 94 was really simple as well, I think I beat it in a matter of hours.Originally Posted by Captain Vegetable

DK 94 is the gameboy game that this one is a soul sequel of. It featured the same type of play mechanics, and is a really great game for about 10 bucks.Originally Posted by Captain Vegetable
It's full name is "Donkey Kong", but since it came out 1994, alot of people just call it DK 94.

Anyway, I'm rather skeptical on MvDK. I'm not too crazy on the use of pre-rendered sprites for Mario and Donkey Kong and I actually would've preferred to had seen Donkey Kong Plus (the enhanced port of DK94 with the level editor). The idea of having DK taking over a toy factory seems rather lame in comparison to the girl-snatching Donkey Kong from days of yore.
Yea from what I read, the levels are real standard. Six levels of Mario getting a key and finding a toy, the seventh level is Mario leading the toys, and eighth level is him fighting Donkey Kong, and it's the same through all six worlds.Originally Posted by Johnny Undaunted
I've heard though that the level select screen has room for four more hidden worlds, which makes sense because Nintendo said there's more than 80 levels.
