  3. Funny you just made this thread when I was reading on Encyclopedia Obscura exactly about this very subject.

I downloaded Der Fuhrer's Face once and I just love showing that picture of Donald Duck as a nazi out of context.

You mean besides the fact that they're blatantly racist and all? I mean I don't want to come off as Politically Correct Person, but the only reason why most of these cartoons are rarely shown today is the fact that without the historical context behind them, then they're just plain offensive now.

In other words, don't expect to see Popeye's Tokio Jokio anytime soon on Boomerang.

I understand them not being on Boomerang and Cartoon Network

that doesnt mean they should be unavailable in any other medium

like i said i understand them NOT being on TV but i don't see why they shouldn't be available on a DVD collection of JUST THEM

that clearly states what they are

and once in a blue moon cartoon network shows the Private SNAFU cartoons on toon heads like way way way way way late at night

  10. The Bugs Bunny one is called: "Bugs nips the nips". It's completely stereotypical in a negative way, just like how black people were portrayed back then as well.

IIRC, it was actaully released recently in a boxed set, until people freaked out over it, then it was removed.

Probably worth a lot of money if you have one.

    Yup, here it is:

This is the short that was pulled from the video release of the Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies anthology "The Golden Age Of Looney Tunes". (It was replaced with Racketeer Rabbit.)

Contains animation (themes, sequences or characters) which modern audiences may consider derogatory toward certain ethnic or religious groups.

Songs include: "Someone's Rockin' My Dreamboat" (Otis Rene-Emerson Scott-Leon Rene), Performed by Bugs Bunny.
