    Sugino/Miyamoto interview

Interesting stuff, mostly about the DS.

  2. the mario 128 info is surprising. looks like it's a long way away. strange that miyamoto himself is directing it..

  3. That was one of the more interesting interviews I've read in a while. It seems to me as if Sony just rants about how the PSP is a "PS2 in your hand", which is terrible marketing, for the millions that already own one. The DS seems very promising, they've showed games, new technology and ideas in the future, and like the PR said "at a reasonable price". Sony showed us Hellboy on the PSP, which I'm sure many will go gaga over, once they realize it's only media on a handheld, and nothing else.

Nintendo rekindled my fanboyism in them. woot woot.

  4. Great read!

It almost brought a tear to my eye, when I read Sugino's response about visiting Yokoi's grave. It's great to hear how much respect they have for eachother, when most people are concerned about themselves over others.

  5. Really? I must have missed that part, I was pretty much speed reading the whole thing. He's right about Nintendo being a big family. Because Nintendo's where the loves at!

Same here. It is very cool to see the spirit of Yokoi living on.

  7. GameSpy: Are you nervous about games like that Sonic game wearing out the screen too quickly?

Sugino: We will make a system that can stand up to that kind of abuse.

Miyamoto: When I saw that, I said to Mr. Naka, 'Maybe we need to come up with some guidelines.'

Sugino: When I first saw it I was a little nervous; but because we saw it at such an early stage, we now realize that there will be this kind of game for the DS and we are able to go work on it so that there will not be any trouble.
Ha. So Sega inadvertently had a hand in the making of the DS

    Great read.
Buy Yakuza and Oblivion. Help yourself, help TNL.
