    No shit.

Some people in this topic need to step out and take in some fresh air.

  2. Rob, you said what I was going to much better than I could have, thanks.

Obviously I refuse to comment on any games WD may or may not do. But I will say this to all the people up in arms about WD's continued existence-

So does Atlus. So does ASCII. So does that new Fresh Games label from whomever it was (Eidos?).

The point is, they aren't special anymore. And now that they aren't, their flaws are far more obvious and harder to ignore.

Where the hell is my Growlanser games then, Atlus barely brings out half the titles they make in Japan

  5. I still believe that Working Designs is the most unique company out there (not everything is good about them, but then again, name a company that deserves nothing but praise) and I will probably always be a fan of their overall direction and style. Yeah, Vic is a conceited asshole, but at least he cares enough about gaming to "stay in the mix" on a daily basis. The company is a breath of fresh air compared to the likes of numerous companies (I'll refrain from naming some).

Yeah. I hate it when games come out in the U.S. that otherwise wouldn't have.

I've heard this argument against WD a lot lately-- that they butcher translations. My question-- do most of you on this board read Japanese and did you play through the original Japanese versions to know that they butchered the translations? Sure they made some changes and added some humor, but most of the games they bring over are amazing. What about Arc the Lad? Is it that bad? Personally, I love it and Arc 2 is amazing...the story seems decent to me...as it did with Lunar 1 and 2...

If you don't like 'em, don't buy their products. So what Vic may be an a@#$%^&. Do you think Bill Gates is any nicer? Who cares? I'm not inviting these people over for dinner...what do I care how they act? If I like a game they are releasing then I'll buy it, if I don't I won't. It's your choice. The alternative? Buy the original and play that since so many of you seem to know Japanese well enough to translate them better than WDs.

That's what I'm saying. If anyone here can, then let's compare some of these changes in translation with what the original Japanese would have translated as. Something tells me people just hear this from other people and then go around spouting off like its the gospel truth when they don't really know what they're talking about.
I'm curious as to what I missed out on by playing the WD versions of Lunar 1 & 2, someone help me out.
