Stickying this thread was in extremely poor taste and an abuse of admin privileges. I have no problem with any one person, but that doesn't mean I can't detest certain actions. If you want to purchase advertising at TNL, contact me via phone or e-mail, otherwise keep your promotions in line. That's two threads you stickied now related to this site. You can put a banner in your sig and you can even occasionally link a page over there, but don't step all over me because I'm nice.

"Purchase advertising?" Tell me that you did not just say that. Talk about extremely poor taste, not to mention over-inflating the importance of this place.

Now, I can't say how long you've been here... I don't know if you were "original" TNL or if you came over in the wave of GameGO refugees. Either way, I do know that Bahn was here from the beginning, and was one of the people who started this place. I'm sorry, that to me gives him the right to promote his new project in whichever means he sees fit. He's one of the people who build this damn house.

And just so that we're clear, I'm not one of Bahn's biggest fans, so don't misunderstand my reason for posting this. I do, however, have enough respect for the guy to give him his due.

Bahn and Nick should have had a draft for TNL members, like when WWE split Raw and Smack-down

Considering he's paying for the damned website out of his own pocket, I say Nick can make the final call as to what needs purchased advertising. He may not have been a founder of TNL, but he's in charge now (and has been for a bit), and he's always been a fair an balanced voice on the boards here and as a mod back at GameGO. If Bahn's helping pay the bills, then he has the "right to promote his new project in whichever means he sees fit."

That aside, good luck with the new site, Bahn.

Sorry, man. Bahn has been allowed to promote whatever he wants, but stickying two separate threads that have to do with this new project was an abuse of his admin power. I have paid my dues at TNL, so don't act like I'm some newcomer. Bahn would not even let me leave the site last year when I handed in my walking papers.

The thread description is "The Next What?" and the slogan on his front page was, until today, "The Next Level Begins Again," so I felt like the victim of some white-collar spam. Don't get me wrong - I won't deny for a moment that I wouldn't quite use the same wording that he has. His wording does seem to be a bit of a jab at TNL, which I don't think is needed.

I will still, however, disagree with seeing his making the topic sticky as improper. It could have been unstuck in a few days, and no big deal would have been made. Of course, this isn't my site, so I don't control how things work, I just comment on them.
