I'm not arguing for or against an afterlife. I'm saying that when you express condolences to someone, don't say, "His pain is over." It would be better to say, "I'm sorry, he was a great man," and then say why.
Gee, here's a thought: You have no idea what awaits you after death. Why do you think you have all the answers?Originally Posted by RedCoKid
Why hasten the inevitable? I know I'm going to die, so I'm in no hurry to get there. All things in their time.

Nope.
Each of us has our own beliefs and use that as the basis for our world view.
Someone who is a Christian, will say 'he's in a better place' or 'he went to hell'.

A few notable audios I liked:
"A Time for Choosing" - A fine anti-Commie, anti-Liberal speech if I ever did hear one.
Won't make Democrat Walter Mondale's "youth and inexperience" an issue. - Wiseguy comeback after being put on the spot for his old age.
Win just one for the Gipper... - His famous line from the 1940 movie, "Knute Rockne, All American."
(All require RealPlayer =\)
"Don't be a pansy." - James
Reagan did something few Republican politicans have the balls to do: admit when he was wrong and take responsibility for his actions. If Dubya could learn anything from Reagan it would be that.
Time for a change
You ever experience it first hand? My grandmother had it, and I sure as hell was comforted when she passed. And I don't believe in an afterlife, either. No one should have to live with it.Originally Posted by RedCoKid
Bush is terrible, and so is anyone who respects the job he is doing more than what Clinton did. Who wants a balanced budget and the saving of troops lives anyway? I mean, besides complete idiots, of course. I'll laugh when that clown loses the election to a junior senator.Originally Posted by Yoshi

Remember something Kinopio... during those "glorious days" terrorists were plotting the demise of the World Trade Center, terrorist acts were being committed across the globe unpunished, and executives of major companies were scamming the public.
Replace World Trade Center with someplace else and it's just like now.Originally Posted by diffusionx
