i thought crypto was Bizzaro's pet that he found in Superman's Fortress of Solitude. (at least according to the animated series) He looked like more of a monster not an actual dog.
Here's the premise and some pictures from www.MediasharX.com. Never thought it would be made...
"Warner Bros. has released two promotional pictures from KRYPTO THE SUPERDOG, set to air on Cartoon Network in Spring 2005.
The show will follow Krypto, sent to Earth from the planet Krypton as a "test puppy" by Superman's father, Jor-El. When he lands on the unfamiliar planet of Earth, the fully-grown Krypto seeks out a friend and finds Kevin Whitney, a young boy who needs a friend. Using all of Krypto's powers, including heat vision and super strength, the two team up to fight those who would threaten the people and animals of Metropolis."

The most recent itteration of Krypto followed Superman back from a visit to Krypton, now in the Phantom Zone. I have a pic of all the super pets, I'll try to scan it in tommorrow.Originally Posted by stormy

wth? Bat-dog (or maybe Ace?) This is looking like a really odd little show. Are the other dogs supposed to be recognizable DC characters' dogs alter-egos or something?

Okay, this is supposed to be retarded. When I saw the thread title I was really scared a live-action serious movie was being planned.
Paul Dini is involved, for the curious.
But despite being a fan of his other work I'm not gonna be tuning in. Skews too young/silly/repetive for me. (See also the Duck Dodgers cartoon Dini produces.)
I'm sure I'd think it was excellent if I was of the age I loved Tiny Toons though.
Dynomutt would kick all of those bitch's asses.
