Thread: Smackdown Vs Raw: Official

  1. If the create a belt is half as indepth as the create-a-wrestler then I don't htink we'll be having any problem making reasonable simulations of the real thing.

  2. I'd love for the CAB to be that advanced, but I doubt that will be the case.

  3. IGN's review is up. They give it a 8.6 and the entire 90 page review basically says it's the same old Smackdown with a weaker roster, more poorly implemented features (some at the cost of others put in last year, which, again, is what THQ does every year) and really bad voicework and online.

The only good thing is that you can defend your created belts in regular exhibition matches. This is the greatest addition they ever could've added.

  4. Actually, you can't. You can only defend them on created PPVs. I'm looking forward to the CAB mode, as it looks awesome in vids. I just wish the belts actually had depth to them. I think I'll wait for a price drop on this one, it just doesn't seem worth $50, especially after being burned with HCtP.

  5. The IGN review says you can defend the in exhibition matches, are they mistaken or was it just a literary fuck up? I have to go through an 8 man PPV to defend the cruiserweight championship I made? Fuck, THQ is so god damned stupid.

The one thing about this game that makes it pure shit to play is the dumb AI and Yukes and THQ never address the issue. So every single Smackdown game should get the same score year after year. I think 8.5 is where they are at, so I agree with IGNs long winded piece of shit review.

  6. I don't recall reading exhibition defenses in that review, I'm going by stuff previously said, before that review, saying that CAPPV is the only way to do it with your own belts. Regular WWE belts can't be defended at all, and there are no cruiserweight or tag team titles.

  7. If you can make 1 match PPV's it'll be worth it. If you have to create 2 or 3 match ppv's in order to defend your gold the feature is worthless.

  8. If it's like past CAPPV modes, you should be able to skip matches. Given that this series tends to change shit like that for no good reason, it's a toss-up, sadly.

  9. I wonder if they fixed the obviously missed options menus to allow for more than 10 minute matches. You can just TELL that they didn't proof that shit. It's the only explanation.

  10. Not to mention the short-changed special ref modes in SYM and HCtP. I've read that iron man matches can now be 30 mins., but I'd be stunned to see that occur.
