Also, THQ doesn't own Yukes in the slightest. If EA bought the license they could simply commission Yukes to develop the games like THQ has done for the past 10 years (or so). So there are options open.
Well, they'd also need room to recreate TNA classics like the Dupp Cup, maybe the Johnsons, or Cheex.

Still, the high sales have to help Yukes out, enabling them to work on GOOD games. I'd love to see the XIX/DoR engine for a TNA game. Modify that sucker a bit, take out some of the clunky shit, add some meaning to the gimmick matches, and you've got yourself an A+ game .

DOA:XBV developers PolygonMagic built the graphics engine, while Yukes completely modified the Smackdown game engine. 50/50Originally Posted by Jeremy

Ah, thanks for that info. RR seems like an amazing Yukes game, full of creativity, new things being tried, and actual game innovation. On the other side of the coin, you have...this game.

Back specials don't always work. Why did they put this sitting down position in the Smackdown games? Nobody does moves in that position in WWE minus maybe one person.

Well there's no point in it and it screws up. You had to press circle twice to get them up from behind. Now he sits them up and you have to press it once more to get them up properly. So there's that, and now when you hit a DDT for some reason he continues rolling into a sit-up. So picture a DDT that ends with the person sitting up.
Also, the 3 on 3 man tag matches are ruined. When one opponent is eliminated they remain outside at the corner of the ring and your other team member can't get to his position. He just continually goes outside the ring, walks around the ring steps, gets in the ring, and exits again, and repeats until you manually control him.
Matches are now shorter, too. Don't be surprised to have a 5 minute match end in a DDT. Your wrestlers get hurt VERY quickly (the little figures turn to red within the first minute or two) so it seems like the match progression they put in the game for Here Comes the Pain is completely gone. They also made it so that outro's are nixed. Your guy just stands in the ring doing nothing and an EXIT comes up on the screen.
Seriously, I believe THQ had a good version of this game done and when WWE sued them they decided to just release a beta. It's a bad game. I don't recommend it.

It's hilarious when you don't pay for it. But it's disgusting. It seems like they seriously just put it out to spite WWE. The models look like they've taken a step backwards and 1/2 the models don't even image their wrestlers. Christian, Benoit, Triple H and a few others look like look-alikes. It's really bizarre man...
Just play the game. You'll see what I mean. The controls aren't the same as last year, it's much looser.
