Thread: Smackdown Vs Raw: Official

  1. The guide made it up, with massively messed up formatting, it's the "create a belt" guide in the "in-depth" section- http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/ps2/game/920640.html

  2. Does the CAW mode have all the Japanese move sets in it or did they botch that too? It doesn't even sound like a transition year as there's too much stuff missing from past years and the new additions don't sound very well implemented. I held off on last year's because it was Smackdown but most agreed it was the best yet, so should I just get HCTP now that it's cheap for a wrestling fix?

  3. Just get HCtP, tons of moves have been removed from that, and stuff hasn't been put back in that was removed there, like Mick's double arm DDT. The challenge mode here is fun, although it annoying that the challenge mode itself doesn't send you to the match.

  4. I finished the challenge mode, YAY. Also, here is a revised version of the guide, with the first part being for classic WWE belts you can recreate - http://www.vgpub.com/?view=article&article=509
Lots of belt pics in it.

  5. so did that VGPub contest end yet?

  6. Jeremy, is there an easy way to make a lot of money? A cheat code or anything? I really want to create a belt, but it's SOOOO freakin' expensive.

Oh, and if you could point me towards a Snitzky CAW, all would be right in the world.

  7. Hehe, I'm trying to make the Classic IC title, I thought 100 grand would be enough, it wasn't. I'm only halfway there.... The "easiest" way is to win the $10,000 ladder match, but there's no cheat code (without a cheat device) to get more cash. Thank God belts can be made for free in WM 21, although some parts need to be unlocked. The most reliable way to get cash is to get in season mode and just quit every match, you'll get some cash for just competing.

  8. Weak.

I guess I really shouldn't be putting so much effort into this seeing as how WM 21 is right around the corner, but I all of a sudden got inspired to beat all of the challenges (only 8 more to go!) and now I'm kinda into this game.

    $10,000 ladder match? Where?

  9. It's in the Raw story mode, I think there's an SD equivalent as well.

  10. I didn't see the need to make a new thread for SvR 2010 when all I want to talk about is the online.

So anyone who doesn't follow the Smackdown series might not know that this year has an AWESOME new addition: Create Your Own Story Mode!

That mode is back this year. The stories focus on Edge, HBK, Mickie James, Triple H/John Cena, Randy Orton, and your CAS -- but Story Designer gives you all of the tools to make your own tales. You're getting more than 100 preset scene animations that range from giving a speech at a podium to someone getting hit by a car to someone finding a briefcase. You take these scenes and put whomever you want into the animation roles and then tweak the camera angles and music. From there, you can input your own text and have the Superstars/Divas say whatever you want them to. If you're in love with Story Designer like myself, it's also worth pointing out that both the PS3 and 360 support USB keyboards for crafting your tales.

Want to create a story about Jericho falling in love with the Bella Twins? CM Punk quitting the Straight Edge Lifestyle? Mark Henry missing Mae Young? All the pieces are here for you to create those epics.
The possibilities are fucking endless. And all of your story content and CAWS can be shared online for everyone else to play!!! It's like Little Big Planet but with spandex dudes! I can't wait to play Jeremys complete epic re-creation of USWA title feud from 1998 or the rise of the bWo! And imagine a weekly TNL wrestling league show put together and downloaded by everyone to watch/play each week? And if you're a super nerd like me, imagine if some of the great minds in wrestling (Gabe Sapolsky, Paul Heyman, Mike Quackenbush, etc) get ahold of this and book WWE the way they would've booked it?! Hell, this is probably why Shane quit.

Anyone else even slightly excited about this?
