I got some in Dallas the other day, and I like it. It tastes like a less syrupy version of Coke to me. I wish Dr. Pepper would do the same thing, since DP in a can is way too syrupy.

Not sure - I'm not a fan of Dr. Pepper. I can usually tell the difference between regular and diet stuff, or the drinks that naturally use that whatever it's called stuff - Fresca, for example.

For some reason, one of the first things I thought when drinking C2 was non-namebrand cola. It sort of has that half-assed taste to it.

in a somewhat related note, i finally convinced my mom to switch from diet coke to diet rite. Now we just need to find a store that actually carries it. Where can i grab some diet rite?

Either you drink diet or you don't. Half the calories of regular is still like a million times more than diet. Sounds like a bad idea.

I work as a security guard for Coke. And let me tell you this, C2 tastes like shit! Its worse than diet. I got a case of it and the first can I opened, I spilled the rest out after 2 sips. The first sip tasted a bit like diet, but the second sip was nasty as hell

Actually, while the stuff is made of and tastes like shit, I'm guessing it'll sell absurdly well while this whole Atkins craze is happening. In that case, it's an excellent idea. They'll make gobs of money off of this, regardless of taste.
Once people finally forget about this fake diet shit, though, I'm sure it'll disappear.

They sold it as Coke II for years. I remember seeing it in some places in the late 90s. It may still exist, but I bet the distribution is even smaller if it does.

May as well drink Pepsi, it tasted more like that than it did Coke, IIRC.
