At least we finally get an anamorphic transfer, but it remains to be seen if it's that big of an improvement of the original disc's video quailty (which was pretty damn good). Still, I'm disapointed, as I was hoping for some new extras...the extras included on the upcoming SE are exactly the same as the old disc (which was pretty jam-packed with good stuff to begin with). If you visit www.outpost31.com, however, you'll find info and screenshots showing that there were a number of deleted scenes and stuff that weren't included on the original DVD.

The Thing is probably my favorite horror movie of all time, but it remains to be seen if this SE is worth picking up if you already own the first one.

Gymkata: I mean look at da lil playah woblin his way into our hearts in the sig awwwwwww

  2. Hmm, I already bought previous edition, and its good enough.

  3. WTF, I just bought the latest one. Fucking bastards, I'll keep this one.

Awesome movie, and one of the goriest. I make alot of fun of it with a friend as well.
