Descent 3

What does everyone think of Descent 3? It's my favorite game of all time, but I haven't seen any discussion of it here. Does anyone here play D3?

i bought it when it came out, but the installer crashed my computer every single time i ran it. back it went.

The installer crashed your computer? What operating system were you running? It works fine for me in XP.

at the time, it was windows 98. and it was the installer itself that crashed, not my computer.

by the way, you'd get more responses if this thread was in gaming discussion, not the online subsection.

yeah, but the online board is generally used for finding people playing a recent game. more matchmaking than discussion. i mean, you're welcome to post here, but you'll definitely get a reaction in gaming discussion. like, 801360823469347 times more people read that board over this one.

This game came with the "network kit" I got like 5 or 6 years ago (it was a hub, some network cards, and cables, plus this game). I have yet to install and play it, but I plan to do it sometime soon. I just got a 50" widescreen HDTV and I hooked up my PC to it, so I am looking for games to run on that dino

I was looking for people to play... Descent 3 *IS* a game that people play online every day. It's not as if it's something from the past that I just want to talk about. But thanks for the tip, epmode. I'll post in the other forum too.
