I do IT systems support and administration for a company in the oilfield services industry with several subsidiaries throughout Texas and Louisiana.

I'm in graphic arts, managing an in-house print shop doing design, printing, finishing and web-design. It's a jack-of-all-trades kind of position but it keeps things from getting too stale.

I was studying journalism there until I decided I wanted to be a writing/literature/publishing major. Looking forward to my no-career.

Anyway, I have a whole lot of summer yet, and I keep getting turned down from jobs. I applied at Toys R Us today, here's hoping for that. Very similar work to what I used to do at the grocery store, but no food. I hated cleaning up shit customers broke, and in worst cases, messes little kids made. You know, the not-food kind. Ugh. Don't want to think about it anymore.

In the meantime, some small web design and graphics jobs. Not much, but it keeps me from being entirely broke. After the trouble I had with the bank over all kinds of stuff earlier this year, thinking about money in general pisses me off. In fact, there's two people here I was supposed to buy stuff from a while ago and the deals just kind of faded away... I'd like to make good on that when I actually have cash. Here's hoping I get hired this week.

Going to art school right now... and I'll probably end up majoring in Graphic Design *big moan from the crowd*

As for the summer, I get to work at Snyder's pretzel factory in Hanover, PA! I work from 3 to 11pm mon-fri, but they can force overtime on me any time they want because I'm at the very bottom of the seniority list! I worked 52 hours this week! Awesome!

Are you at the Art Institute in Philly? This is the second time I've asked people about colleges on this thread, ha. A good friend of mine goes there (we all grew up around Wilkes-Barre, so it's not far), I just came down to visit him not long ago, it seems like a really cool place.

Eh, about 32 hours a week at Denny's isn't that tough and the 20 some hours I currently am putting into Gamestop is like a day-off now. I used to hate the job, now it doesn't even effect me one bit. Probably because Denny's is that much harder than it. These days I mostly slack off there and play Psi-Ops.

The pay comes out to around $1,800 a month but it keeps me busy.

I'm about to leave to go over to NJ (I live in PA) and work in the kitchen at a drug rehab/retreat center. That's only for the summer, once I get back I'm going to community college (haven't figured out what I'll study there though) and hopefully find a decent job on the side.
