Our ties with Saddam are public record as well as when they ended. No secret there and we have to live with those decisions. In the case of Al-Qaida, we don't know what came of it. Disregarding them (are you?) is stupid. Evidence of Al-Qaida ties is just that and is given as a refutation to, "They hated each other and so Iraq would never ever have ties to Al-Qaida whatsoever..." Nothing puny, inferior, or stupid about it unless I'd have to be an Aussie lad to understand. Also, Laden's return to Afghanistan after being expelled from Sudan was later in '96 early '97 so further contacts there aren't that far off. But again, there's a difference between NO TIES and TIES which was what I was addressing before you decided to, I guess, do a tit for tat on ties.

I'm really fucking tired of the war on terrorism being turned into a big political crowbar to try to jimmy Kerry into the White House. The 9/11 commission is a partisan joke, the notion that we're making things worse for ourselves by being in Iraq is foolish. They're murderous fanatics, they've attempted shit against even France, and France has done nothing but grab their ankles before insane murderers for decades.

We went into Iraq because we know Saddam hates us, we know he was developing WMD's and we know he had a working relationship with Al Queda (even the 9/11 commission admits to that, after discovering a slew of CIA reports from the late 90's regarding Hussein and Bin Laden discussing a coordination of their efforts in developing viral weapons). We had it on good intel that he had WMD's. I still believe he did. That we haven't found them in a year means nothing, Hitler's hidden stash of biological weapons wasn't found until a few years ago by accident.

There's no reasoning with these people, no negotiating. They want us dead. They'll gladly die themselves if it means killing us. The survival of our way of life depends on us ferreting out and killing them first. The notion that John Kerry would have done a better job is laughable, he's the most political politician I've ever seen. I don't understand why everyone's going nuts over our treatment of those "prisoners". These are scruntfuck terrorists, if the worst thing that ever happens to them is what's going on over there then they got off easy.
