Connecticut Governor to Resign Tonight

I glad he's out. We pay some of the highest taxes in the country,and we have 2 mega casinos pumping billions into the state.

So where is all the money? Why are we paying so much more in gasoline taxes than most states? Why is there never enough money to do anything in this state?

I can appreciate how nice it would be to have Rowland gone.

Our governor Robert Taft should leave office as well. He's a damn hypocrite- he called his election time rival Tim Hagan a tax-hiker, yet he himself raised the sales tax and applied it to a whole bunch of other things that previously were not taxed. He promised NOT to do so without voters' permission and then welched. I'd like to see these unfair changes get repealed.

If Taft is worried (or so he wants us to believe) about the budget, I think he needs to slash spending and forgo his rotten "tax and spend" agenda.

Holy shit I-95 is a fuckin' mess in Bridgeport! You should see it now, dude. They've added TWO new lanes on Northbound! Though they're for exits 27 and 27A only. It's a fuckin' mess. Not to mention the constant work the've been doing on the divider there for the past God knows how many years. To say the least, it's gotten worse, even if they're trying to make it better.

I hate driving that section of 95. I do it so often too since I'm always going from Trumbull through route 25 to 95 to Norwalk and back. It's such a fucking mess.

For all of my conscious years, 95 has been stupid between exits 28 and 24 (at least I think 24 - that's Black Rock Tpke, right?)
