Sci-Fi Show reccomendation

I've just gotten in to Farscape. HOW WRONG I WAS.

Good lordy lord this show is crazy and awesome. I'm enjoying season 1 right now, but I know it gets even crazier once Scorpios arrives on the scene.

I watched the last episode of Andromeda a few weeks ago.

Ha ha, that was on the same night as the last episode of enterprise. Both shows were weak imo.

I used to like Andromeda back during the first seasons, but once Trance changed from purple to yellow the show fell apart. Andromeda always felt like it was trying so hard to stand out, but it always seemed to fall flat.

Everything in Andromeda seemed to be a cut below what everyone else was doing. The terrible philosoply awkwardly infused in to every episode plagued the show. But if you look at Andromeda's parts you can see how low budget it came off as. Bad sound effects, bad costumes, bad animation, bad action directing (wtf is all of this slow mo bullshit?). I don't know how it lasted as long as it did.

The thing is that Andromeda never defined itself. For a more realistic military approach (which is what it should have been about concerning the High Guard subject matter) we have Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis. For a crazy alien adventure approach we have FarScape and for a completely innovative, character driven approach we've got Firefly.

Firefly is still my favorite, but I enjoy all three shows (Farscape, Stargate and Firefly) immensely.

season 2 = great.

I'm not even 1/2 done season 1 yet.

I'm totally getting all these from BB online, fuck buying TV shows on DVD. Renting is where it's at.

I'm excited to finally watch all of Babylon 5 from beginning to end, because I am a huge fucking dork.

I couldn't get in to Babylon 5. I'm thinking that I will in a year or so and this will be like Farscape all over again. I'm on season 2 and I'm enjoying every episode. Rigul is pretty funny and the enemies (Durka, Mulduss, Scorpio, Crisse) are all great. I can't wait to see what happens to these guys.

I've just finished watching the second Mulduss episode. I was right about the direction as I had originally described it (suffers from weird, slow mo cuts) but I'm going to chalk it up to budget.

the last seasons of Andromeda is complete ass. You can really tell that they have no money for sets or cg.

I could make that show in my back yard.
