What I was tiring to say is that a Ferengi will work his hardest (illegally & legally) to obtain as much wealth as he can. While bender would never put in a solid day's work for his loot and he almost never puts any serious thought into it.
Bender doesn't live to obtain wealth, it's a by-product of his lifestyle.Originally Posted by MechDeus

He snatches things as he see's them, which is why in the episode where Leela gets a husband he see's an open kingdom ripe for the stealing.

I don't think TNG is getting enough respect here. Sure they had their problems initially, but like DS9 once they realized they were their own show the characters became interesting and for the most part the series was a very good one. The end of the series was one of the best last episodes I've ever seen.
You could also grab the entire run for Battlestar Galactica, which comes in one box. Sure the show was corny, but there were a few really cool episodes.
I think TNG is universally the biggest Sci-Fi show.
I watched the Babylon 5 pilot. Pretty nice stuff. The acting and the writing seem awesome but since the 3D work is from 1993 its a bit outdated (could also be because it is a pilot)
I'm definately interested in picking up season 1 now. Anyone really into Babylon 5 and wanna share some more information on it?
Does the 3D get better?
Also, the commander in the pilot looked different from the box set covers.
Anyways, a good 2 hour pilot. I like it so far. (and this episode was probably pretty bad since it was a pilot. Pilots usually have a much smaller budget)
i just have a sort of general dislike of babylon 5. i liked TNG a lot back then so i didnt give it much of a chance. it colors my perception of the show currently, fairly heavily.
TNG level of quality fluctuated wildly from episode to episode. sometimes you get "yesterday's enterprise" other times you get androgenous woman who falls in love with ryker. guh.

Fair enough Mech, just looked like very few people were saying get TNG.
The B5 pilot wasn't that great, but it was a start. The show later got interesting and better looking. It was weird when they changed captains after 1 season. Still, it was a good show that forced DS9 to get better.
I liked what I saw of Babylon 5. Although TV show wise, I seem to be more accepting than most.
I think I'll like Babylon 5. It's like Deep Space Nine, which I love so.. I'm sure I'll enjoy it.
Farscape also is raved about but the seasons are quite expensive. Although A LOT cheaper than they used to be. They are now about $105 with my discount and $200 normally. Babylon 5 is about $80 a season with my discount, so yeah I think I could get into B5 pretty easily.
Actually he's a free man. Remember he joined the robot mafia and was a robotologist, all of which he served other robots.Originally Posted by MechDeus
