Like Sl1p said, there's already a perfect english version out for the PS2 and it's only $20 (and you even get the original along with it). This just seems like a lot of wasted time.

i still agree with sl1p that people are wasting their time, if not his mini-meltdown in expressing how and why. there's nothing wrong with the commerically available PS2 version that isn't a matter of taste -- and the PS2 d-pad is IMO more precise, which makes it nicer to play. if you want to play it in japanese with subtitles, um, tough.

i have two copies, FWIW, since i like to have both languages -- the PS2 import and the domestic double-pack. =P yes, i've played the DC version.

Even if I was one of those people who hates anything dubbed (I'm not... Xenosaga or MGS1 or 2 come instantly to mind), I still don't see how you could make a statement saying thats whats wrong with gamers today.

I remember prior to the PS2 version, the DC rev was going for $60+.

Now, it is $30 and no one wants it.

I bought the PS2, it might not be perfect, but I would never know the difference without being a nerd, ahem, I mean, reading this thread. It is good enough for me, and that's all that matters

I have the PS2 version and I find nothing wrong with it. I may not be the best to vouch for it, as I played little of the original on DC and never even saw a part 2. It's fine for me and $15 bucks is nice.
