I like this movie alot, primarily because I've been through the same thing Enid faced (maybe I'm still going through it, hell if I know). The movie is right on the money -- a few people, like Enid and Rebecca, realize what they want in life and try to capture it. Most others, like Enid's dad, Maxine, Weird Al and the Satanists, don't figure it out and got stuck in the "ghost world". The connection between Semour<sp?> and Enid is important, because I think he is still partially stuck in with the people who haven't figured it out. This is what makes her realize he isn't the answer to her problems. Neat movie. ^_^

Oh, and just based on looks, I'll take Thora Birch (Enid) over that Portman girl any day. But on personality... I did once date someone like Enid, and I wouldn't mind finding someone else like her, but this particular person seemed to be mired in the "ghost world" instead of trying to get out of it.. how strange these things work out.

Scarlet is 18 now, so I imagine she may have been 17 at the time of filming, making that sort of thing illegal. She was also quite good in "The man who wasn't there"

If thats what you're looking for check out Mulholland Dr., I'm sure you won't be dissapointed. Albeit they're not girls but they are still pretty good looking women.

i took the movie out from work based on all the sigs klonoa had about it and because Steve Buscemie (spelling) was in it

I thought it was allright not bad for a watch from time to time

Yes, indeed. quite the memorable scene, and a fantastic movie to boot. easily one of the best films of the past few years.
