As far as Nokia buying out Mozilla, I don't see how that can happen, because Mozilla is an open-source project that's basically now just a bunch of people around the world working together on the browser. When they were released from AOL/Netscape, they just sort of became a group - not really a company, or anything that could really be bought. And the source code for Mozilla is out there, so even if somehow they were bought, somebody else could just pick up working on the source code from its last point of being OS.

my bad, actully Nokia wants to implement mozilla into this there cellphones, instead using thier traditional(and crappy) browser.

  2. As a web developer, I have various browsers installed on my machine (including the text-only LYNX browser), but Firefox is my main one. Everything about it is so great.

Do you constantly use Dictionary.com to look up words or Froogle to find cheap stuff? You can add those search engines to Firefox's search window (click on the icon in the search window and pick "Add Engines").

If you're still using IE, stop it. It has too many security holes that hackers can exploit to break into your machine (especially if you haven't downloaded any patches). Get Firefox and restrict IE to performing Windows Updates.

  3. I use Firefox. Ever since I saw it on TSS on G4TechTV I was hooked. Its so much better than Mozilla and I thought it couldn't get any better. Boy was I wrong. Its smooth. It imported all my links. Its intergrated and the extensions are numerous. I can't wait for the full version.

IE is the cancer of the Internet. Use FireFox.

Here's yet another reason why no one should support IE.

Yeah, sorry if my post wasn't clear. Only use Internet Explorer to perform Windows Update (Tools -> Windows Update).
