Thread: Awesome new Genesis site is up

  1. So everyone sucks?

  2. Mzo turned me onto Game Sack a week or so ago, and I spent the next 3 days watching every episode that looked mildly interesting.
A step in the right direction (how do you review games you can't complete?) but not quite there yet.
    Their sketches are awful.

Turns out the Sega Ages version is better, I guess? The 32X mode had a hidden story about saving a princess in your plane. Was that in the Sega Saturn version, too?
Saturn Sega Ages version with the Mission Stick. Nothing beats it.

    That's Joe.

so we should invite him to TNL? That just sounds like Yoshi on a bad (good?) day

I think even the 32X manages to have ten good games (not exclusives, though).

Take away his potty humour and you're still left with a Nintendo fanboy with little knowledge of anything else. I remember watching his Colecovision episode and he mentions that nothing tries to kill you in Smurf which isn't true. It's obvious he doesn't know anything about difficulty settings in pre-NES games and just briefly played it on easy. He's pointing out a fault that isn't there.

I wouldn't care but sadly people take his gaming opinions seriously. His Genesis vs. SNES episode where he's not in nerd character was so ridiculously biased in favour of the SNES but it's presented in a way that newcomers to that era might think it's being fair.
He did a review of the 32X and set it on fire at the end of the video.

I've always thought that it was Joe that did most of the video production for those videos. You can see most of that in the credits at the end of the videos.

Joe and Dave are pretty cool dudes. I wouldn't take their responses too seriously. A lot of the times they respond with sarcastic humor that can be taken wrong, if you aren't too familiar with their dry humor.

    Bring him on.

I wonder what two fence posts arguing with each other sounds like

Yeah, gamevet, I had them confused as Melf pointed out.

I've had a few interactions with Joe Redifer. He is incredibly close-minded and comes off as a jerk.

    I'm sure he's a fine human being.

You just gotta know when he's using sarcastic humor and when he is being serious. Once you get to know his personality a little better, you'll know when he's actually being serious.
