from what ive read it has 20 minutes of never before seen footage along with the deleted scenes in the donnie darko DVD. It also has more 80's pop songs and special effects that were not placed in the final release because the production company saw the movie as too much of a risk.

from what i read the whole point of most of these scenes was to give more character development ect. on the supporting characters.

The movie is total, total shit. Half a star. Don't waste your time. I'm serious. Donnie Darko is so horrendously overrated (along with Battle Royale, HEH) and don't even bother.
PS: I know Sqoon would back me up on this and he knows what he's talking about.

Hmm, Diffusion screams against yet another movie that gathered cult following. I cant comment on the film until I watch it, but I wouldnt rely on Diffs opion of it either
