Well, admitting their is a problem, and putting a stop to everything negative anyone black does, as to "being black" would be a start.

One of my best friends in highschool turned to the bible for guidence in his life and they treated him like he was a bug. He wasn't even an annoying bible beater kid. He was just like anyone else, watched the same shows and dress like a normal clean person. But sense he was christan, and did what he felt the bible said was moral, he wasn't "black".

Well he has a 60,000 african american scholorship now, and travels the world doing mission work.

He never said that he agreed with it, nor that intelligent, or even rational thinking people would believe that, only those with an agenda to push (ie. the KKK). This is actually one of the criticisms that Bill Cosby is receiving for speaking out so boldly. The fact that he still does this in such PC times without a care for his carreer gives me even more respect for him, however.

The point that he made about squandering the fruits of the Civil Rights movement are so true. We as a people have been given, unded the law, equal rights. Our standings in this country are higher than ever. We have better chances of success and living a good life than imagined even 40 years ago (which isn't such a short amount of time once you think about it).

Yet what do we do? Take all the free money "The White Man" will give us and not better or empower ourselves. After all, to be intelligent is to be White, so we can't possibly sell out by getting a basic education, can we?

No! Instead, let's kill our fellow people with guns, kill ourselves with drugs, and degrade our women like whores to the point that that's all they know how to be. Let's not give our women the basic knowledge and tools to raise our children well; instead let her children run around the streets at one in the morningdoing whatever the hell they please. No, that's much better than teaching them right from wrong. Also, let us not protect our children from adult pleasures (ie. my 9-10 year old niece and nephew listening to Rap and watching R-rated movies, my 5 year old nephew OWNING GTA III), so that their view of the world is skewered into dangerous, destructive territory.

Excuse me for being so inflammatory, but I've had my house filled with little negroes like the children I mentioned for the past week, and my saturation point is reaching it's climax.

Cosby has always been a big inspiration for me to make myself something better than this world deserves. Everything he said needed to be said, and heard, by not just blacks, but by every minority in the U.S.

I've always tried to keep myself educated, staying in school, reading, learning other languages, and trying to speak good english, even though I always don't, but I try to. I even listen to other kinds of music, like rock, progressive rock, and classical, not just rap and hip hop. I don't like gangster rap too much, it's mostly the same (bitch this, nigga that, money this, hoes that), so I gravitate towards great groups like Jurassic 5. I'm not loud, and I hate grape soda, but do like orange. And I do take a lot of shit from this, my friends constantly call me white, but if keeping myself educated and working at GameStop makes me white, whatever.

When I was younger the last time I lived with both my parents was when I was five. After that I switched between my mom and my dad. Then there was a long while when I didn't see my dad, I honestly thought he ran out on me, or died somewhere. But it turns out he was looking for me the whole time, hired a detective and everything. My dad isn't the smartest man, but he knows what his responsibilities are; his family.

Something a lot of black men obviously don't know about.

My mom's boyfriend (who lives with my mom and I), is such a man. He has a daughter from, not a past marriage, just a fling. He never sees her, rarely pays child support, listens to gangster rap loud as hell, no matter what time it is, or where he is. Hell, when I went to Japan for two weeks he stole my favorite shirt, which was given to me by my friend while he was in Hawaii. Not only did he no give it back when I got home, he kept it for two more weeks, telling me it was at the cleaners. My mom found it in his dresser drawer. Needless to say I hate him. He represents everything I despise in the black community, and if I turn out anything like him... no, there is no if, because I won't.

Sorry for flying off the handle, it just pisses me off to see ignorant black people keeping those who actually want to succeed down. I'm not saying it only happens in the black community though, it still hurts to see the same with mexicans, asians, even whites, but not as much. It's just hard to be an educated black man without taking shit from people all the time, especially blacks, and that's the part that hurts the most.

True, but for all the garbage our grandparents and parents over fifty went through to get us here, accept this garbage way of life stands as a slap in the face.

I mean what the fuck did they march for? What the hell were they beaten for? Why did they allow themselves to be beaten, blasted with firehoses, and attacked by dogs for? And all without retaliation I might add?

If I thought it would do any good, I 'd backhand the face of the black youth in this country everytime the word "nigga" came out of their mouth.
