Thread: Fallout 3

  1. I've done the vampire quest, and just got done with taking care of the fire ants. Going melee is really hard you take soo much damage. I'm gonna advance the main story a bit and head over to the radio station now at least, I'm almost level 7. Definitely a very good game though. The queen was fun because I lured 2 of her protectors into her room, shot off their antennae and then ran and let them die by her hands.

Ones in Paradise Falls are in the leader's place. Look around and you should find them. For Old Olney, the truck never made it. Follow the road, and you should find the truck.

You have to mix melee and explosives to make the most of both. Those! is also the hardest quest in the game to do as a melee character thanks to their fire breath.

  3. I finally got my 360 back and I have Saints Row 2, Fable 2 and Fallout 3 to play.

I started Fallout 3 but I am honestly so intimidated by it, so I'll play Fable 2 first.

  4. dUgh I can't find my way to the GNC station, every path is blocked, is there a particular underground I should be going through? As much fun as it is fighting hundreds of raiders and super master mutants with rocket launchers (And the fight I had with them was pretty awesome) I'd like to get somewhere. Also is there any real point to the national gaurd depo other than using every pulse grenade I have?

  5. edit: mah bad thought you meant GNR.

  6. No I did, I have no clue why I said GNC.

  7. Kek... in that case

There is a metro station right after you cross the river north east/east of super dupa market or whatever it is called, you will noticed there is a few raiders fighting some super mutants, right where the raiders are, there is a metro station, take that one make sure you have GNR marked and follow the arrows a bit and you should be there, IIRC you will exit at a place or something named chavy chase.

edit: Eyes open in the tunnels lots of raiders and mines IE lootbags and mines to pick up and use/sell later.

  8. Ah ok I ended up getting lost because I was just kept going through a bunch of different tunnels and fighting super mutants everywhere. At this point I've got Sneak up to like 60, small guns up to 60, and melee at 50. I'm really disappointed in the Lady Killer and Child at heart perks, I love interesting dialog and this game just lacks it sometimes I was hoping that would highlight some cool options but I've only seen Lady Killer usable twice and Child at Heart once.

But watching your opponents body's splinter as you land a critical hit in Vats never ever gets old. And I had an awesome fight against 4 super mutants, one being a master where I was holed up on the second floor of a house (They couldn't get to me) with a master with a missle launcher up on the third floor of a building you can't get up to. So lots of duck and cover, and when I finally killed it the game was feeling charitable I guess, and launched the body over to me so I could loot some missles.

I haven't picked child at heart myself, but I understand it can be handy once you hit rivet city. Spoilers ahead regarding child at heart perk.

There is a brat in Rivet City with child at heart perk and maybe some high speech, a dialog will open for you to let the child steal ammo for you, think it was repeatable so it's a good way to get ammo later on

Getting to GNR is a huge pain in the ass no matter how you do it.

I ended up going overland because the tunnels sucked dick. They're boring.

I walked all the way around the other side of D.C. and came down from the North, and even then since D.C. is a maze aboveground it took me a while to figure it out.

That is the only quest that takes any amount of serious time though, and the only one that is remotely difficult to complete (because of the difficulty in getting there) so you might as well cherish it.

You don't really need to even do that quest. While trying to get there the first time I stumbled across the next part of the story quest. It's in the jefferson memorial
