Also, WTF @ http://www.bethsoft.com/bgsforums/in...owtopic=890895Ugh.You may or may not be able to use advanced Script Extender type of Mods on the Direct2Drive download, or the Steam version. If you want to gurantee full mod compatibilty, then you need to get the Retail PC version for that. Mods that do not require script enhancements will more than likely work on the Steam/D2D versions of the game. This is because the D2D version will probably be an Encrypted EXE, and the Steam version will change some code and the way it launches. Further news on this will have to wait until more information is availble, or the mod community has worked their magic.
Note, this is not to say that there will be a Construction Set, this is still not known at this time.
(There's a CD check for the retail PC release)
Who in the hell develops a modding implementation that would be ruined by digital distribution?
I guess no one is sure of this yet, but would it be possible to use those fully-featured mods with a cracked (noCD) retail release?
Elkino, tell me how to get to 106. I wanna check that place out.

You'd think with a huge blockbuster like this, these things would eventually get cleaned up. It sounds like the 3rd-person has the same hacky implementation as Oblivion, even.
For the people that are playing it, does it eventually just become transparent, or are you repeatedly brought out of the moment by it?
Debating whether or not to pick this up for the PC or the 360. Mods sound fun and the game just seems meant for PC, but at the same time I'd like the comfort of sitting and playing it on my TV if the differences are minimal.
Anyone have it for PC and thinks it couldn't be played any other way?
The neat thing about a PC is that you can play it however and wherever you want, provided you spend the time and money to set it up.
Always go PC unless the port is shit (which this isn't) or TNL is all over Zboz Live.
