I finished the game with the highest Karma available (Best Hope for Humanity) with, I'm sure, a bunch of side quests left to go. I've done plenty but the map is not full and I haven't done Tenpenny tower. I reached level 20 just as I was wrapping shit up.
Gonna start an evil, evil character with sneak and Melee, I want that ninja Perk.
It's not tough to find, I just happened to stumble upon it.

If you're planning on going evil, you can get a follower fairly quick after starting the game. Jericho is easy to get if you cause a little mayhem outside of Megaton. Just kill a few wanderers and traders, steal from some cap stashes. You need to be pretty evil and have a 1000 on hand, but his default weapon is an assault rifle and you can give him better armor. Now sure if he can wear power armor. Charon, Clover, and the Brotherhood bitch all can. Clover is a little easier to obtain if you don't mind blowing up Megaton
If you're good, your best bet is probably Charon. Just follow the main quest line, but when you hit the Mall, go to the Museum of Natural History.
Why have a follower?
1 - Equipment mule.
2 - Bullet sponge.
3 - Occasionally shoot your enemies.
They'll use any weapon you give them as long as they have ammo. Never give them the Flamer though, unless you like being accidentally lit on fire all the time.

As cool as VATS is with a gun, it's a thousand times better with a melee weapon. Slo-mo skull-cracking = win.
I have a question for my buddy:
He's doing the quest where you get the distress call from Vault 101. He wants to put a peaceful resolution to the whole thing but he can't figure out a way to sway either Amata's or her father's descision, so therefore the only answer seems to either kill the Overseer and be exiled, or just completely forget about it and leave.
He tried looking up a walkthrough, but couldn't find shit. Has anyone found a peaceful resolution to this quest? Thanks ahead of time.
Oh, and VATSing someone with the Powerfist and gibbing them is so fucking awesome I was literally on the floor laughing.

my favorite Vats melee is using the Sledge Hammer on the rad roaches, if you haven't done this yet, you need too. It is so awesome to watch

Other than using Speech, I think there is a solution involving finding out about a secret midnight raid on the rebels planned by security. Whats-his-face guy in the jail cell nearby the Overseer's office mentions it if you talk to him after freeing him.
